Welcome To Vizual Records
Vizual Records started as a labor of love in the summer of 2009. Now, Vizual is not only a vehicle to release great music, but a way to experiment with new distribution models and showcase our music in the best way possible.
Controlling all of these aspects of music creation and distribution simply was not possible even two years ago. Part of this whole endeavor is an experiment - I just wanted to see if it could be done. Now that Vizual up and running, I'm trying to show that artists can control the whole process of making and selling music. The future is now - I hope you enjoy the ride. -- Joshua Iz

About The Site
This site uses a custom child theme based on Ian Stewart's Thematic Theme Framework. I owe a great deal of gratitude to Ian for the excellent Thematic tutorials on his Themeshaper site (as well as that site being an obvious inspiration for mine). If you have any feedback about the site or experience any errors, send me a note on the Contact page.

About
Vizual Records Iz…
…the brain and soul child of Joshua Iz – it’s even part of the name.
After working with many of the most respected labels in underground dance music, including
Prescription, Classic, OM, Guidance, DiY, Joshua finally felt it time to create his own imprint,
hence Vizual.
Drawing from a myriad of influences, from heavy Jamaican dub to bleepy Detroit techno,
Vizual seeks to develop new musical forms that bridge the gap between pure organic music
and abstract electronic sound paintings, yet creating something danceable in the process.
Vizual iz…experimental/danceable; vizionary/abstract; familiar/unique.
The response to Vizual so far has been incredible. Wide support for the first two singles
and Joshua’s album ‘It Iz What It Iz’ will be dropping in early 2010.
Check back for updates and thank you for your continued support of Vizual Records.
