Joshua Iz

Joshua Iz is a dj, producer, designer and writer living in Chicago. He has been djing for 24 years and has over 300 production credits to his name for well respected labels including Sony, Six Degrees, Prescription, Balance, Classic, Junior Boys Own, OM and Guidance. Recording under many pseudonyms including: Joshua, Circulation, J-Boom, C++, Free Energy, Stereo People, Dubwise and as Iz of Iz & Diz, his music and djing have brought him around the world, with residencies at Fabric (London), Bionic (San Francisco) and regular gigs all over the US, Canada and Europe and Australia/NZ. Diz

If life is about "being in the right place at the right time," then Diz's timing could not have been better. Born and raised in Chicago, the original epicenter of the House Music universe, his adolescence coincided with the beginnings of that city's legendary scene. Nowadays, if you mention Diz's name amongst House aficionados, you are almost certain to hear adoration and respect for his insane DJ skills, stage presence, and warm-hearted personality.

Atnarko

Canadian native Dave Atnarko is a veteran of the dance music industry, he has continuously proven himself as an essential DJ, producer, and remixer. In 1988, Atnarko moved to Orlando and began his love affair with electronic music. Headlining at nightclubs and events along side some of the most respected names in the industry, including Ralph Lawson, Huggy, Joshua, Hipp-e, Garth, Q-Burns Abstract Message, as well remixing artists including Afrika Bambaataa, Crystal Method and Interpol. Atnarko has slowly acquired a reputation as part of the new breed of underground house heavy hitters.

JT Donaldson

JT Donaldson has been producing since the birth of Dallas' Fairpark Records in 1997. He has produced deep, soulful house music for labels such as Cajual, Cyclo, Distance, Seasons, Push & Pull, and Viva to name a few. He has worked with artists like Lance DeSardi, CPEN, Tim Shumaker of Home and Garden, Sandy Rivera of K.O.T., Chris Nazuka, Lo Soul, The Freaks, and house legend Chez Damier. JT’s music has been in demand world wide and has taken him to places like South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, South Korea, Germany, Norway, France, Belgium, Turkey, The U.K. and many others.

Chez Damier

After a co-founding the Music Institute in Detroit in the late 80's and few years managing the KMS studio and label for Kevin Saunderson, Chez Damier returned to his hometown of Chicago, and, alongside Ron Trent, created a musical legacy deserving of an entire chapter. Between 1993 and 1995, the first 15 releases on the pair's Prescription label—widely regarded as one of the finest house imprints ever—crafted the blueprint for what would become known as deep house. Chez is back with a slew of releases and a full dj schedule.

Russ Gabriel

Russ Gabriel is a name synonymous with U.K. Techno, with his first full release coming out in 1993 on his newly formed Ferox label. Russ went on to record for most of the major techno forces of the 90’s: Carl Craig’s Planet-E, Peacefrog Records, DJAX-Up- Beats, GPR, Force-Inc, Soma Recordings, New Electronica and Dave Clarke’s Magnetic North. From Tokyo to São Paulo, Russ has DJed just about everywhere. He currently resides in Germany where he continues to produce modern classics.

Jamalski

In 1991, Jamalski appeared along side of KRS-One, as a member of Boogie Down Productions, on the album “Edutainment”, on a track called “7 DJs” featuring KRS-One, Miss Melody, D-Nice, Harmony and others. Within a year, Jamalski had released the now classic single titled “Jump, Spread Out (Let’s Do it in the Dancehall)” produced by Bobby Konders. He lived in France for much of the 2000's, adding his signature vocal stylings to top house, jungle and dubstep tracks. Jamalski returned to his native New York in 2009 where he continues to record and raise his son.

Alland Byallo

Alland is one of the busiest men in the San Francisco techno community. Having produced electronic music for over 10 years and DJing for nearly as long Alland has come to be an international talent, releasing original material and remixes on respected US and European record labels such as Liebe*Detail, Missive Music, Dirt Crew, Poker Flat, Hallucination Ltd., Floppy Funk, Utensil Recordings and Dirtybird among many others, and headlining events all over the globe. He is co-founder of the seminal [KONTROL] party in San Francisco and has lived in Berlin since 2010.

Jay Tripwire

Always sitting slightly off-centre, Jay Tripwire is an artist that walks the line as industry staple and ever changing innovator,
releasing one standout release after another. His signature fusion of deep Detroit textures and intricate rhythms has led a career spanning two decades, with over 200 releases and four full length albums. He remains one of the most prolific artists around, with 18 EP’s and a whole host of remixes having dropped during 2010, for labels including Tonality, Pokerflat, 1Trax, Baker Street, Deep Data, SOCO Audio and System.

Derrick Carter

Derrick Carter plays parties, makes music, dances, sings, and really, really likes shoes. One of the pinnacles of Chicago house music's '90s wave, Derrick Carter began DJ’ing at the age of nine, spinning disco records at family reunions. Born and raised in the western suburbs, Carter was into music from a young age, but during his teens Chicago's house scene sucked him in for good.

Audio Soul Project

A prolific producer, Mazi Namvar has written or remixed over 200 records in 15 years time. A DJ for 18 years, Mazi has visited clubs like Fabric in London, Crystal in Istanbul, Q in Zürich, Avalon in Los Angeles, Masai in Varna, Level in Bahrain, Red Light in Paris and Simoon in Tokyo. He still finds time to play in Chicago, DJ’ing or performing live at local venues like Spy Bar, Moonshine, Zentra, Vision and Smart Bar. As an A & R executive, Mazi presides over his label Fresh Meat Records which he co-owns with partner Nathan Drew Larsen. Fresh Meat recently released his full length album "Hip Shake Heartache" to rave reviews.

Pépé Bradock

Parisian DJ, producer and remixer, Julien Auger began his musical career by learning guitar at the age of 14 and playing with various Parisian Jazz Funk bands. His musical influences range from Jazz to Dub Reggae which culmulates in his hypnotic production style. Pépé Bradock has done remixes for New Jersey's Blaze, Cassius, Alex Gopher amongst many others. His biggest hits to date include 'Burning' and 'Life' both for the French label Kif. Apart from that Pepe has produced for well-known House labels including Classic (UK), Silver (France) and Nuphonic (UK). As a DJ, Pépé Bradock has spun in almost every major club in the world and is known for his versatile, and mesmerising mixing style.

Rubba J

During the old school hip-hop years Rubba J started experimenting with a little drum machine and his guitar in search of funky grooves. His music, strongly influenced by funk: Prince, Roy Ayers, Herbie Hancock, Azymuth, progressively merged into deep house. He teamed up with Marius and started a new deep house formation called “Deepwater” which, along with Koenie developed into the producers collective Mayaku. As a solo artist, Rubba J released EPs on Brique Rouge, Wally’s Groove World among many others with his signature edgy, deep and tech sounds.

Andrew Emil

As an artist Andrew has been changing the face of house music for over a decade. His releases on some of house music most elite and diverse labels (OM Records, Seasons, fourplaymusic.net, Farris Wheel, Gallery Music Group, Look At You, Alphabet, .dotbleep, Smooth Agent Records, Market House Meats, Roam Recordings, Industry Recordings, Cafe Del Mar Music) have sculpted a sound that clearly defines his frame of reference and at the same time outlines a cadence to his eclectic taste in Chicago House Music.

K-nto

A journey across the magic world of K-nto reveals a truly soulful manner of playing quality sophisticated house grooves. Born in the bohemian Bucharest, had his first contact with music at the age of 3, when he found an old tape with Technotronik,Fu Schnickens and Snap. Since he discovered the basic moves in breakdance, took him only a few years to become National Champ in 2001 till 2006,World Champ 3rd Place in 2006 Bremmen/Germany. His music is a mix of classic jazz,disco and hip hop samples with funky bass lines and strong beats combining with new sounds.

Luke Solomon

No stranger to the Vizual camp, Luke Solomon is like family and we're surprised it took this long for him to make an appearance, but we always welcome him with open arms. Luke has done just about everything there is to do in house music, from producing (with Justin Harris, Rob Mello or on his own), to running record labels (Classic and Music For Freaks), to fronting a band (Freaks, Mother Rose) and everything else in between. He is currently producing and remixing like mad and reviving Classic with Derrick Carter.
